Perth duo Old Mervs announced a nine-date Australian and New Zealand tour and a new album, Carparks, with the artist presale for tickets opening on Thursday morning.
The album is out on 2 October, produced by Chris Collins, and follows three singles already released this year: "Heavy in the Morning," "Tether" and "She Said." Old Mervs are David House and Henry Carrington-Jones, who grew up in Kojonup in Western Australia's Wheatbelt and are based in Fremantle. Their 2024 self-titled debut put them on national radio.
The tour opens on 9 October at the Forum in Melbourne and takes in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart, before a hometown show at the Fremantle Arts Centre on 31 October and three New Zealand dates in early November. The presale opened at 10am on Thursday, with general sales from 10am on Monday.
“We cannot wait to get rolling into this tour," House said. "There are heaps of bucket list venues on this run and to get to play this album in them feels bloody good." Carrington-Jones said the pair had been "sitting on the album for months and months," and that "more than anything we're stoked to get out and play some new songs.”
The presale is live now, general tickets go on sale on Monday, and Carparks is out on 2 October.
