About

Australian News Syndicate

AUNS is an independent Australian digital news service. Everything we publish is free to read.

Our mission

AUNS (Australian News Syndicate) reports Australian and world news across seven sections: national affairs, politics, business, sport, world, weather and entertainment. No political party or lobby group owns us or directs our coverage. Editorial decisions follow our published Editorial Standards, independent of advertising and commercial relationships.

Our job is to establish what happened and let readers draw their own conclusions. Every story published by AUNS has been reported, verified and edited before it appears on this site.

Ownership and structure

AUNS is published by Lionheart Global Corporation Pty Ltd, ABN 13 659 392 971, a company registered in New South Wales, Australia.

Lionheart Global Corporation Pty Ltd is the sole owner of the AUNS publication. There is no parent company and no external investor with editorial rights. The publication takes no funding from political parties, lobby groups or government bodies.

When we were established

AUNS was founded in 2026. The publication launched with a staff of six specialist correspondents covering Australia's major news categories.

Where we are based

AUNS is headquartered in Perth, Western Australia. Our correspondents are based in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Editorial leadership

AUNS is led editorially by Aaron Lionheart, Editor-in-Chief and founder of Lionheart Global Corporation Pty Ltd. Aaron is responsible for editorial standards, publication decisions and the overall direction of AUNS coverage. All published articles are assigned to named correspondents who are accountable for the accuracy of their reporting under the AUNS Editorial Standards.

Editorial independence

Editorial decisions at AUNS are made independently of advertising and commercial relationships. Advertisers have no influence over what we publish or how stories are framed, and we do not trade coverage for advertising spend.

Sponsored and paid content, when published, is clearly labelled and kept visually and structurally distinct from editorial content. See our Editorial Standards for the full policy.

How AUNS is funded

AUNS is funded through display advertising. We do not charge readers for access and we do not accept subscriptions. All content on auns.com.au is free to read.

Advertising is sold separately from the newsroom. The advertising department operates independently and has no access to editorial decisions or the publication schedule.

Our correspondents

Every AUNS article carries the byline of the correspondent responsible for it. Nothing on this site runs anonymously or under a generic staff credit.
