Brooke Satchwell won best lead actress in a drama for Dear Life. Simon Baker took best supporting actor for The Narrow Road to the Deep North and Claudia Karvan best supporting actress for Homebodies. RFDS won best drama.
Steve Bisley won best lead actor in a comedy for Deadloch and Celia Pacquola best lead actress in a comedy for Dog Park. Lila McGuire won the Graham Kennedy Award for most popular new talent for Goolagong, which also won best miniseries.
Ally Langdon won the Ray Martin Award for most popular news or public affairs presenter. Jelena Dokic won the Bruce McAvaney Award for most popular sports presenter. MasterChef Australia won best competition reality program.
Have You Been Paying Attention?, Goolagong and Dog Park took two awards each, more than any other program on the night. A Country Practice and Andrew Denton were also inducted into the Hall of Fame alongside Mailman.
Magda Szubanski presented the Gold Logie in character as Sharon Strzelecki from Kath & Kim.
Seven Network broadcast the ceremony. The next date on the Australian industry calendar is the ARIA Music Awards at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on 18 November.
