Mirra Andreeva won her first Grand Slam title on Saturday to claim the biggest result of her career at age 18. The Russian player turned professional in 2022 and has been one of the consistent performers on the WTA tour over the past two seasons.

The title is the first Grand Slam of Andreeva's career. She had reached the late rounds of multiple major events over the previous two seasons, and Saturday's final converted that run of form into a title.

At 18, Andreeva's win will move her into the top tier of the WTA rankings at the next update.

The men's singles final is scheduled for Sunday.
